The VM600 CMC16 200 – 530 – 025 – 014 200 – 530 – 111 – 013 is an integral component of the Vibro – Meter VM600 series Condition Monitoring System (CMS). This intelligent front – end Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) plays a crucial role in the overall functionality of the monitoring system.
It works in tandem with the VM600 CMS software. Its primary functions include data acquisition, analysis of the acquired data, and transmission of the results to a host computer. The data can be transferred either through the VM600 series CPU M module Ethernet controller or directly via a serial link.
The CMC16 is equipped with 16 programmable tracking anti – aliasing filters. These filters are essential for ensuring that the incoming signals are clean and suitable for accurate analysis. Additionally, it features an analog – to – digital converter (ADC), which converts the analog signals received from various sensors into digital data that can be processed by the system.
Before the signals reach the CMC16, the IOC 16T module is responsible for providing signal conditioning and EMC (Electro – Magnetic Compatibility) protection for the inputs. This multi – step process of signal pre – processing and acquisition ensures that the data used for condition monitoring is of high quality and reliability.
