Product Description
The TRICONEX 4409 is a critical component of the Triconex Safety Instrumented System (SIS), mainly developed to interface Tricon controllers with the Honeywell TDC – 3000 Universal Control Network (UCN). It serves as a safety node, transmitting Tricon aliased data (including system variables) and diagnostic information at full network data rates. Certified to SIL3 safety integrity level by TÜV Rheinland, it is specifically designed for high-risk industries such as chemical, oil and gas, and power generation. The module supports critical I/O point processing and propagates Tricon alarms to designated DCS targets like consoles and printers. Its hot-swappable design allows for maintenance without shutting down the system, and the IP20 protection level enables it to adapt stably to indoor industrial environments. In addition, relying on Triconex’s Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) technology, it can operate error-free even in the event of hardware failures or transient interference, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of industrial production processes.
