The WOODHEAD SST – PB3 – CLX is a high – performance PROFIBUS scanner module, playing a crucial role in industrial communication and control systems. It is designed to establish seamless communication between Rockwell ControlLogix controllers and PROFIBUS networks, making it an ideal solution for various industrial automation scenarios.
This module can function as both a PROFIBUS DP master and slave, enabling efficient data exchange with other PROFIBUS – compatible devices. It supports communication with up to 125 DP slave stations, facilitatin
g the connection and management of a large number of field devices. With its Profibus firmware version 7.25, it can scan up to 122 words of input and 122 words of output data for each slave, ensuring comprehensive data acquisition and control.The SST – PB3 – CLX module is equipped with advanced features for enhanced functionality. It has multiple communication ports that support various standard PROFIBUS baud rates, ranging from 9600 to 12 Mbaud, allowing for flexible configuration based on the requirements of the industrial network. It also supports important PROFIBUS DPV1 master services, such as different levels of read, write, start, idle, and abort commands, enabling more sophisticated control and monitoring of slave devices.
