MVME2400
MVME2400 Industrial Single-Board Computer Module
Product Description
The MVME2400 is a high-performance industrial single-board computer module designed by Motorola (now part of Emerson) for rugged embedded applications in industries such as aerospace, defense, energy, and manufacturing. It integrates a powerful processor, memory, and I/O interfaces on a compact board, providing a reliable computing platform for real-time control, data acquisition, and communication in harsh environments.
In aerospace ground support systems, the MVME2400 acts as a central controller, processing sensor data from aircraft components, executing control algorithms, and communicating with remote monitoring stations to ensure safe and efficient operations. In energy distribution networks, it manages real-time data from smart meters and grid sensors, enabling rapid decision-making for load balancing and fault detection.
Featuring a rugged design, the module withstands extreme temperatures, vibration, and shock, making it suitable for deployment in environments where commercial-grade computers would fail. It supports real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, ensuring deterministic performance for time-critical applications. With a range of expansion options, including PCI and serial interfaces, it offers flexibility to integrate with various peripherals and legacy equipment.
