FOXBORO FBM224
The FOXBORO FBM224 module is A Modbus communication interface component designed for Modbus slave station devices such as programmable controllers (PLCS) and field I/O devices as well as CP60 for I/A systems. The FBM224 supports RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 communication interface standards, and can successfully communicate in RTU mode over Modbus protocol. In addition, the FBM224 has four ports, each of which
can be individually configured as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485, enabling it to connect to a variety of standard communication interfaces on the Modbus network. The FBM224 also features a flexible Modular redundancy (FMR) design that allows for more combinations by defining redundancy at the controller, fieldbus, and distributed I/O levels, depending on automation tasks and related security requirements. Therefore, FBM224 is widely used in industrial process control, such as steel, petroleum, chemical, electric power, building materials, machinery manufacturing, automotive, textile, transportation, environmental protection and cultural industries.
