Product Description

The AUTOMAX 57C552 – 1 is a universal drive controller module designed by Reliance Electric for the AUTOMAX series of distributed power drives1. It is a printed circuit board assembly that plugs into the backplane of an AUTOMAX rack1.

 

This module is used to control one or two drives connected to the rack and is capable of handling both AC and DC drives1. It uses non – volatile flash memory to store information and has a dual – port memory to facilitate data exchange with all AUTOMAX processor modules, which can be used as a storage buffer1. Communication with the AUTOMAX processors occurs via a multi – bus backplane using fiber – optic links1.

The module comes with a sturdy enclosure and a faceplate. There are mounting tabs on the top and bottom for easy installation into a card rack1. It is equipped with a series of LED indicator lights labeled Card OK, OS OK, Comm A OK, Drv A Flt, Comm B OK, and Drv B Flt, which help users quickly identify the operating status and diagnostic issues1. In addition, it has meter ports, test switches, and ports for Comm A and Comm B1.
