85UVF1-1CEX FIREYE
UP/DOWN
The purpose of the UP/DOWN key is to select password input before starting programming. Start the “learning” or storage process for the target flame or background flame.
TARGET FLAME SELECT
This button is used to initiate the “learning” or storage process for the target flame. All necessary threshold values for fire/no fire identification will be automatically set.
Background FLAME SELECT (optional) If there is a background flame, the user will want the probe to recognize it and distinguish it from the target flame.

This selection button is used to initiate the”learning”or storage process for the background flame. It will automatically change the”no fire”threshold(set in the target flame selection program)to exclude the influence of background flames.
summary
Phoenix 85UVF/IRF series flame detector produced by Fireye is a microprocessor device that applies solid-state flame detection sensors. It has an internal relay that can automatically set the ON/OFF threshold,so remote amplifiers or flame switches can be cancelled.
The Phoenix flame detection probe detects the modulation amplitude(i.e.flame flicker characteristics)generated by the target flame to detect a wide range of frequencies. In the probe setting program, the amplitude of the target flame will be automatically stored along with the optimal ON/OFF value. The appropriate sensor gain will also be automatically selected. The probe combines all self diagnosis and electronic self check functions.

The Phoenix 85UVF/IRF is divided into multiple models due to different levels of certification for detection components and applicable hazardous areas. Please refer to Table 1 Overview Table and Product Certification on page 3.
The Phoenix 85UVF/IRF flame probe requires 24Vdc power supply and is connected to a cable through an 8-pin electrical quick disconnect connector(QD model). There is also a standard 4-20mA flame intensity signal output.
Note:The wiring form of the QD model has been changed to an electrical quick disconnect connector connection, replacing the original probe model with a 3-meter long cable. The QD probe(corresponding cable models 59-546-X)can be directly applied to Class I Division 2 hazards
application
The Phoenix 85UVF self-test probe can detect ultraviolet radiation at wavelengths of 295-340nm.The Phoenix 85UVF1-1QDK3 and 85UVF1-1CEXK3 flame detection probes are derivatives of standard Phoenix products that use advanced optical filters. This filter adjusts the optical sensitivity and can detect visible light at wavelengths of 310nm to 500nm.Typical applications:flue afterburner, industrial gas burner, refining equipment, low NOx burner, waste gas treatment device, and incinerator.

The K3 series flame detection probe is particularly suitable for detecting visible light rays in steel plants, such as the combustion of blast furnace gas and coke oven gas.
The Phoenix 85IRF self-test probe can detect infrared wavelengths of 830-1100nm.Suitable for flue afterburners, industrial gas burners, ignition systems for refining equipment, low NOx detection systems,as well as continuous and non continuous operating burners.
Typical applications:flue afterburners,industrial fuel burners,refining equipment,waste oil recovery devices,and incinerators.
Note:As this series of probes are equipped with solid-state sensors, they have excellent performance for various fuel flames. For example,UV type applications can be used in gas flame conditions, but can also be used for oil flames, including heavy oil flames.Of course,in order to achieve the effect of*,experiments need to be conducted.
The Phoenix series probes are not recommended for detecting small ignition flames or conditions where the line of sight is obstructed.
