TRICONEX 3721 Invensys System Monitor Serial/Dynamic Data Interface
TRICONEX 3721 Radio Frequency Identification represents radio frequency identification, which is a very simple and inexpensive technology that can be used to create applications such as RFID based door locks and RFID based attendance systems. If you search for RFID based projects online, you will find that many security and labeling related projects may make this interesting module seem boring.

In order to change this trend, we have come up with the idea of establishing an RFID based IoT event management system that can not only monitor login logs, but also, with the help of IoT technology, directly send logs and login data to a dedicated server that can handle all authentication, authorization, and management, making the entire process seamless. So let’s get started.

The above figure of TRICONEX 3721 shows the EM18 RFID reader module and RFID card. RFID technology is not new, but it is a technology that encodes digital data into RFID tags and can utilize radio waves through RFID readers. RFID is similar to barcodes, where data from tags is decoded by the device. RFID technology is used in various applications, such as security systems, employee attendance systems, RFID door locks, RFID based voting machines, toll systems, etc.

The EM18 reader is a module that can read ID information stored in RFID tags. This RFID tag stores a unique 12 digit number that can be accessed by the EM18 reader module when the tag enters the reader’s range. The module operates at a frequency of 125 kHz with an internal antenna and operates on a 5 volt DC power supply. It provides serial data output with a range of 8-12 cm. The serial communication parameters are 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and 9600 baud rate.
This is a very useful module with some interesting features. It has a wide working voltage range and can operate within the range of+4.5V to 5.5V DC. The power consumption during operation is only 50mA, so it can be powered by batteries. In addition, it also has a working frequency of 125 Khz, which makes it compatible with various types of RFID cards. With the help of the built-in antenna, it can read distances from 8 centimeters to 12 centimeters. Its working temperature is 0-80 ° C, suitable for use in harsh environments.
