2301E 8273-1011 WOODWARD
Woodward 8273-1011, Speed Controller – Load Sharing, 2301E2301E load distribution and speed control, 24 VDC input, normal positionWoodward 2301E controls the load distribution and speed of diesel or gas engine driven generators. (In this manual, these power sources are referred to as “prime movers”.) 2301E is a microprocessor based digital control designed to include and be compatible with the functions of load sharing control for 2301A and 2301D

The increased software flexibility allows the 2301E to include control functions that require additional equipment in previous versions of the 2301A and 2301D control systems. Therefore, 2301E is suitable for upgrading existing control systems to add newly installed features.

The controller is installed in a metal plate chassis and consists of a printed circuit board. 2301E is set up and configured through an external computer connected to a 9-pin connector (RS-232 port) on the front of the control unit.
2301E provides control in synchronous mode, descent mode, or base load mode. 2301E will allow for soft load transfer when added to or removed from the bus.

2301E control hardware includes:
1 load sensor
1 actuator driver
1 microprocessor speed sensor
1 configurable analog output
2 configurable analog inputs
8 discrete (switch) inputs (3 inputs configurable)
4 configurable discrete (relay driver) outputs
2 serial ports (RS-232 and RS-422)

Instead, logical control editing is done through memory and programming, and external mechanical devices are connected through output components for physical control. Therefore, it can greatly reduce the hardware space required for the controller. In fact, the operation mode of PLC executing ladder diagram program is to first scan the ladder diagram code into the CPU line by line and finally execute control operation
