Allen Bradley 1756-RM is a ControlLogix redundant module.This module can only be used with the ControlLogix platform to enable controller redundancy.It manages the connection of two(2)identical controllers installed in the same rack of the same components and configuration.It provides redundant system monitoring and module health through embedded LED displays such as PRI,COM,and OK.

1756-RM has been released as both A-Series and B-Series.This series is essentially an enhancement to the previous series,but 1756-RM with different series can coexist in a redundant configuration.It is strongly recommended to install the same series to achieve operability of redundant settings.When used with the same series of redundant modules,the speed can reach 100 Mbps.

The 1756-RM is equipped with one(1)single mode LC fiber optic connector.It requires the use of 1756 RMCx redundant cables to synchronize the operation of redundant controller pairs.The controller can be configured using the Redundancy Configuration tool to set up redundancy,and the overall parameters of the module can be configured using Studio 5000 Logix Designer.

This module is compatible with 1756-A4,1756-A7,1756-A10,1756-A13,1756-A17 ControlLogix chassis,1756-PA72,1756-PA75,1756-PB72,1756-PB75 standard power supplies,and 1756-PA75R,1756-PB75R,and 1756-PSCA2 redundant power supplies.It is a single slot module that can be installed in any available slot in the chassis.The redundant pair must have the same configuration as the partner chassis.

The 1756-RM consumes 4 mA at 1.2 VDC,1.2 mA at 5.1 VDC,and 120 mA at 24 VDC.

The 1756-RM redundant module consumes 4 mA at 1.2 VDC,1.2 Amps at 5.1 VDC,and 120 mA at 24 VDC.The device is installed in a chassis and can be installed in any slot.The 1756-RM module has a power consumption of 9 watts and a heat dissipation capacity of 31 BTU per hour.This ControlLogix comes with an open housing with a T4 temperature code.In terms of the physical characteristics of the module,it weighs approximately 0.29 kilograms or 0.64
