2. Product DescriptionThe IC697PWR724 is a dedicated power supply module tailored for the GE Fanuc Series 90 – 70 PLC systems, with a maximum output power of 90 watts and a nominal input voltage of 24VDC. It is a critical component for ensuring stable and continuous operation of industrial automation control systems.
   This module is installed in the leftmost slot of the rack via a slide – in mounting method and connects to the rack through a 48-pin backplane-mounted connector. It not only works for single-rack applications but can also supply power to a second rack by using the IC697CBL700 prewired interconnect cable, provided the total load does not exceed its rated power. It outputs three voltage levels (+5VDC, +12VDC, -12VDC) and delivers logic – level sequencing signals to the backplane to coordinate the operation of the entire PLC system.
   It is equipped with multiple protection functions such as electronic overcurrent and overvoltage protection, and the 5 – volt bus is also furnished with short – circuit protection, which can promptly respond to abnormal conditions like short circuits and overloads to avoid damage to the module and the connected equipment. Additionally, it has a power ride – through capability, which can maintain normal output for 10 milliseconds even when the input power is completely lost under full – load conditions, effectively preventing system downtime caused by momentary power outages. When the ambient temperature exceeds 50°C, the maximum output power of the module needs to be derated to ensure operational reliability.
