The GE SR469 – P5 – HI – A20 – E is an advanced motor management relay, designed to be a comprehensive solution for monitoring, controlling, and protecting medium to large motors in industrial settings. This relay offers a wide range of protection functions. It has customizable overload curves, which can be adjusted according to the specific requirements of the motor being protected. The single CT differential protection adds an extra layer of safety, enhancing the flexibility of the protection scheme. In addition, it provides voltage – dependant overload curves, torque metering and protection, and broken rotor bar protection, ensuring comprehensive motor safeguarding.
The SR469 – P5 – HI – A20 – E is equipped with a sophisticated thermal model. This model includes six key elements: overload curves, unbalance biasing, hot/cold safe stall ratio, motor cooling time constants, start inhibit and emergency restart, and RTD biasing. With multiple RTD inputs (compatible with 100 ohm nickel, 120 ohm nickel, 10 ohm copper, and 100 ohm platinum RTDs), it can accurately determine the actual temperature and the hottest point of the motor system, providing precise temperature monitoring.
