C2RPS-CHAS2 is an Enterasys SecureStack C2 Redundant Power Supply (RPS) Chassis Module (also referred to as Enterasys C2RPS-CHAS2 Network Equipment Redundant Power Supply Enclosure, Industrial Network Switch Redundant Power System Chassis), a dedicated hardware chassis designed for Enterasys SecureStack C2 series switches to house and power redundant power supply modules (C2RPS-PSM) for high-availability network operations.

The C2RPS-CHAS2 module is a rugged, rack-mountable redundant power supply chassis developed by Enterasys (a leading provider of enterprise and industrial networking solutions) for the SecureStack C2 series of stackable network switches. As a core component of the SecureStack C2 redundant power system (RPS), its primary function is to accommodate up to two C2RPS-PSM power supply modules, providing redundant power to SecureStack C2 switches to eliminate single points of failure in power delivery.

Engineered for commercial and light industrial network environments (e.g., data centers, enterprise IT closets, industrial control network hubs), the chassis features a compact 1U rack-mount design that optimizes space utilization in standard server racks. It includes integrated power distribution, cooling fans, and status monitoring indicators to ensure stable operation of the power supply modules and seamless failover between primary and backup power sources.

Notably, the C2RPS-CHAS2 is not compatible with SecureStack C2 PoE (Power over Ethernet) switches (models with a “P” suffix), as it is specifically designed for non-PoE switch models to deliver reliable, redundant power for critical network infrastructure. The chassis supports hot-swappable C2RPS-PSM modules, enabling maintenance and replacement of power supplies without interrupting switch operation, thus maximizing network uptime and reliability.
